I’ll Do It Tomorrow…

You know how I know that it ALWAYS rains during the week between Christmas and New Years in my little corner of the world?  And then, the weather takes a sudden deep freeze deep dive right at the year end celebrations?  Always.

I know this because my birthday is December 31st, which – in Canada – means I have to have my 2019 license stickers on my plates by the end of the month.  They send me the forms to purchase them in September.

Lots of time!

October… Still lots of time!

November… I am really busy!  I am late!

December… Christmas, work, life, shit … Did I just run out of time to order my stickies again? Hey, at least I bought them BEFORE December 29th this year.  There is nothing like that 11th hour panic attack that something will go wrong and you won’t get your renewed license stickies (like an air clean test you forgot you needed, a parking fine that wasn’t paid, perfect alignment of the planets against you).

Why can’t I find someone who will do this car stuff for me?!  I hatez it.

And wouldn’t you know it, but it started raining somewhere back on December 20th this year.  Today, December 29th, is favorable so I have to go put my stickies on before the New Year’s Eve rain and massive drop in temps arrives, as forecast.

[Inserting placeholder here to explore Procrastination because I don’t have time right now… LOL]

I did tell you that time management, project management and self management were priorities for me in 2019:  Focus on the Prize

It is my last-ditch effort to get up off my ass and

I am a firm believer in synchronocity, and discovered this little gem in an online forum.  The Pomordoro Technique is a bite-sized chunk of time, well managed.  Wrangled.  Handled.

Thankful that my two iPhones have timers!

Don’t wait!

P.S. I didn’t get the stickers on until noon on December 31st…

P.P.S.  If I could find a man who would do all things auto for me, I’d be happy to give him that time and effort back.  Don’t tell me it’s sexist, I just hate car maintenance.  For the women who love it, yay you!  I prefer to build my own computer.

Let’s celebrate our individual needs – for both men and women.

Geez … SORRY! My mistake! I knew I had read that you turned 50 in 2015, and then when I began counting forward I added a year. My math skills are usually better than that! Well happy 53 anyway, and I’ll take these feet out of my mouth now … but what I really meant was that you were entering your 54th year here on planet earth. Sound better?

😀 no harm! As I say to my boss, “I am 26 times two plus one and doing it right the second time!”
